My Position: I stand with Prince Georgians and say NO TO HYPERSCALE DATA CENTERS.

As a computer scientist, I have long advocated for ethical guardrails and legal boundaries around technology. Innovation must never compromise the inalienable rights, health, and quality of life of our residents. Placing common-sense boundaries on development does not stifle progress. It protects our people.

Uncontrolled hyperscale data centers consume billions of gallons of water, generate excessive noise pollution, increase carbon emissions, and demand massive amounts of electricity. These extreme energy demands drive up monthly utility bills for everyday families across our region and threaten the stability of our local grid.

Under current tax exemptions, Prince George’s County receives zero property tax revenue from these “qualified data centers,” while receiving only a handful of long-term jobs in exchange for massive warehouse footprints. Prince George’s County will no longer serve as a regional dumping ground for harmful industrial development under the false promise of economic return.

My Commitment:

I stand firmly with Prince George’s County residents. No to hyperscale data centers. I will protect our neighborhoods, audit existing industrial sites, and ensure our environmental and land-use policies put the health of Prince Georgians first.
