My Position: Ending Cronyism, Wasteful Spending, and Restoring Public Trust

Repeated convictions involving government and elected officials have exhausted the patience of Prince Georgians. Residents are tired of seeing unqualified family members and friends hired at exorbitant salaries after elections, as well as appointments given to individuals who previously violated the public trust while serving as County officials.

We are equally tired of wasteful spending on projects that provide no meaningful public benefit or are closed off before residents can enjoy them, such as the fenced-off public plaza at the Wayne Curry Building.

​

The County’s inability to operate on a balanced budget or reliably pay its bills, combined with theft and financial scandals involving local agencies, represents the last straw for taxpayers.

​

The purpose of government is to maximize human potential while protecting human rights. As your County Executive, every initiative I undertake will begin and end with the goal of helping every Prince Georgian thrive equitably and equally.

My Commitment:

• Culture of Merit & Integrity: Change the culture of local government by eliminating nepotism and cronyism and appointing skilled subject-matter experts who respect the privilege of public service.

• Fiscal Transparency & Accountability: Establish transparent, open-budget operations that prevent wasteful spending, restore sound financial practices, and rebuild trust across all County agencies.

• Servant Leadership: Demonstrate executive leadership driven by integrity, fiscal responsibility, and the best interests of the people of Prince George’s County.
